Jal Mahotsav
Jal Mahotsav is the country’s largest water carnival that’s organized at the end of every year by the Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation.
The event takes place in Hanuwantiya, which is an island on the bank of the Indira Sagar Dam near Khandwa District.
It’s done to promote Madhya Pradesh’s tourism across the world and get people fascinated by the colorful culture, heritage, handicrafts, and wildlife of the state.
Jal Mahotsav is a wholesome event that includes a profusion of various sports activities; aerial activities; land activities; tent city; various indoor and outdoor activities for children; kite flying; craft bazaar; food stalls; music; and many more.
Hanuwantiya
It’s an island that’s located around Indira Sagar Dam. It’s a perfect location to organize the event due to its splendid beauty and mesmerizing waves.
